Unique Contemporary Wedding Invitations

After having arranged and decided everything for a wedding of two people, the important and last step in a wedding is to decide on a wedding invitation pattern since you need to invite people for the wedding.

Should it be traditional, with traditional words, or contemporary, with up-to-the-minute sentiments? The choice is literally endless.

But if money is no object – and increasingly people want to have that ‘shock and awe’ moment when people see what they have planned for the big day – then this is no time to skimp on the wedding invite.

Unique contemporary wedding invitations set the tone of any big day. Some come wrapped in material instead of paper while others have a velvet band replete with a rhinestone decoration wrapped around the exquisite card adorned with more tiny rhinestones pronouncing the date and venue of the big event.

Other cards are embedded into a ‘duvet’ style padded envelope that opens from the center – some are even circular! – and the recipient can’t miss the sense of anticipation that such an invitation inspires.

Some couples have taken to sending out origami style folded wedding invitations in beautiful Japanese metallic paper. As the object is unfolded the words are seen at the center. How romantic!

But it doesn’t have to be so lavish. Nothing looks better than sparkling white, high quality card with embossed emblems – perhaps doves or flowers – and a beautifully crafted font announcing the news. A plain or patterned border adds to the effectiveness and can be in the monochromatic range or matched to the wedding colors.

Some couples – wanting to be completely unique with their wedding invitations – have their baby photos printed onto the cards along with the announcement. This is a completely fun way to announce their intentions and gives everyone a memento even before they come to the wedding!

Whether it be plain and classy or fancy and expensive, the wedding invitation is the first clue as to what is planned for the wedding day and it should reflect exactly what the couple is all about. Choose wisely to make that day extra special!
