Funny Wedding Invitations

A lot of couples are caught in the craziness of planning their wedding. The amount of money spent the amount of lavish items bought and as well as the worry before the big day increases.


But this is supposed to be a celebration right? A time to celebrate two people’s love for one another and the marrying together of two family’s right? So why then do we all get bogged down in tradition and the need to have absolute elegance on the wedding day?

Of course, there is nothing wrong with being elegant but some couples choose not to have such a serious affair. With this in mind stationers and printers have come up with some great ideas for funny wedding invitations.

One particular card shows a washing line with his and her underwear hanging. The line spells out ‘getting hitched’ and is a great start to what can only be a great day.

Another card shows the happy couple jumping from a ladder into a huge bucket of water with the words ‘taking the plunge’ underneath - another innovative way to set the tone for a fun day for family and friends.

How about a card showing a cartoon couple showered with silver foil confetti and the words ‘love is the best thing ever invented’ underneath? How sweet right?

Whatever the mood or tone you intend for the wedding it, can be conveyed by the funny wedding invitation card. Indeed, one card was in the form of a ‘wanted’ poster with the couple’s photo at the center. Obviously, the ‘wanted’ people are the guests for the wedding!
All of these cards come with a full set of back-up cards in matching style. However, since the approach is very casual it may seem inappropriate to have response cards order of service cards etc.

Some people will not be happy with these laid back, casual style wedding invitations. But to many, they are the only cards they would consider sending. These can be very useful if this is a second wedding or perhaps a very young couple but they are not for everyone!
